Hong Kong Yacht Show 2020
The 3rd Edition Hong Kong Yacht Show is organized by Hong Kong Cruise & Yacht Industry Charitable Foundation on November 19-22 this year. The event will be located at the Kai Tak Runway Park Temporary Marina. Due to COVID-19, this year Show’s format is changed to become a private event. Organizer and stakeholders all agreed to comply rigorously with the Government’s social distance regulation, and attendance is strictly by invitation only.
The event is both a platform to create a regional ecology combining luxury yachting, marine lifestyle, marine tourism, employment and education. This will enhance public awareness of the marine industry through exhibitions and special events, to promote the development of the yacht industry in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
The establishment of the Hong Kong International Ocean Economy Chamber of Commerce will be announced during the event. Purpose of the Chamber is to encourage members take action to effect changes in the maritime sector; increase members’ understanding of problems and issues related to global maritime commercial activities, enhance the awareness of sustainability by sharing resources and experiences.
The Hong Kong Super Yacht Academy will also be presented. The objectives of the Academy are to 1) Create a New Super Yacht Industry in Hong Kong; 2) Re-train and empower downsize airline and hospitality personnel to be qualified for regional and global employment opportunities; 3)Create Center of Excellence in training in conjunction with International University of Monaco (IUM) for professional super yacht personnel.
Both the Chamber and the Academy will help promote future economic development and create substantial new job opportunities to society. From a long- term perspective, Hong Kong is well-positioned to become a Super Yacht Centre in Asia. The local natural conditions and stakeholders alignment of interests, ensure that Hong Kong could be at par with Monaco in the global super yacht industry.
The Hong Kong Cruise and Yacht Industry Association is committed in promoting the exchange and cooperation between Hong Kong and the international cruise and yacht market; safeguard and alignment of the industry interests to promote the long-term development of the Hong Kong cruise and yacht industry; and providing the latest information and talent support to strengthen the competitiveness of our industry in the global cruise and yachting market.

Geared to promote and develop yachting culture in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, the Hong Kong Yacht Show has been created as a platform to maximise the onboard experience of exhibitors and visitors alike, and showcase Asia’s most mature yacht industry to the world.
